This spring marks the beginning of Muscaliet Press’ third publication cycle, after two extremely busy yet rewarding years of publishing. We would like to say thank you to our authors, poets, and customers for their support over the last two years. In light of this occasion, we have re-launched our website; hatched plans for a newsletter and an annual anthology; and assisted with a student-produced publication from the University of Essex that will be available very shortly. Most importantly of all, selected publications are on sale now – be sure to check out our shop!

In 2019, we marked our first year of publications with a reading at the University of Essex. Sadly, this year due to the the outbreak of COVID-19 and the lockdown restrictions in place, we aren’t able to invite you all to a launch of our latest publications – Shelley Drowns by John Worthen and [Happenstance:] by Duncan MacKay – and our scheduled ‘Small Indie Press’ event for the Essex Book Festival, in collaboration with Dunlin Press and Patrician Press, unfortunately had to be cancelled just as the call to socially distance ourselves at home was issued. We hope, as soon as we are able to, and when it is safe, to hold the event – and we would be thrilled to see you there!

In the meantime, some images of last year’s event accompany this post: readings from Simon Smith, Dorothy Lehane, Chris McCully and Philip Terry.

There is much more that this press is working on behind the scenes, and we wish you all the very best and hope that you will look forward to our future publications!

All very best wishes,

Simon and Moyra
